Power On
This project is a personal collection of imagery as a social commentary on our insatiable consumption of energy.
On the border of Canada and the USA in the small town of Amherst, energy production and transfer compete for views with the landscape.
In contrast, in developing nations such as Ethiopia, energy often comes in the form of burning wood or animal dung. Although hydroelectricity is the main form of industrial energy production much of the population cannot afford it.
This project is about the good, the bad and the ugly. My aim is to document energy - how it is used, where, why and by whom. My hope is to bring about awareness of issues surrounding need, access and use of energy.
Ongoing personal project.
